Commitment ceremonies

“To love someone is nothing.
To be loved by someone is something,
But to be loved by the one you love is everything.”

Commitment ceremonies mean many different things to different people. A commitment ceremony can look just like a wedding complete with marquees, wedding gowns and hundreds of guests – but no legal documentation, no marriage certificate.

Or it can be the most alternative event imaginable: A ritual to bless your relationship, or just a big party to celebrate your love; A huge bash with all your friends and family in attendance or an intimate exchange between you and your partner.

Because a commitment ceremony does not involve laws or government agencies there are no legal documents but Certificates of Commitment can be provided.

Planning

A commitment ceremony is carefully planned and written and includes readings, a statement of commitment, the exchange of rings and music.

A commitment ceremony, like a marriage, can take place at any venue that is special to the couple.

No documentation is required prior to the ceremony as they are not legally recognised in Australia at this point in time.

Costs

$300
