The ceremony

As each wedding is unique to the specific couple and their needs, therefore the number of interviews and appointments is dictated by the couples. For some this may be only three meetings prior to the actual day, for others it may be five.

I always include a rehearsal prior to the wedding so that everyone knows where to stand, what is going to happen when and a practice run through of readings and music to ensure that the wedding runs smoothly on the day.

To make your wedding heard by all attendees I have a state of the art sound system including cordless microphones for readers to use and your choice of music can be played through this system via iPod. Recorded music is the responsibility of the couple if they request specific music to be played at the ceremony.

Booking fee to be paid at first interview: $100 (non-refundable).

Balance paid one week prior to ceremony.

Once booked I am yours for that day. I only ever conduct one wedding ceremony a day, so there is no risk of me arriving late or having to rush off early to attend another ceremony.

If I am required to travel out of the greater Launceston area there may be extra charges to cover fuel costs.

This will be discussed at time of booking appointment.

This type of package suits couples who are having a private ceremony without guests, those who have travelled from interstate and wish to get married whilst on holidays, or those who simply want a no-frills ceremony.

These ceremonies are quite short but very meaningful. I supply a selection of pre-formatted ceremonies from which to choose for this package.

Readings can be added, if desired. If couples wish to write their own vows, these can also be incorporated. Table and chair for signing the Register and certificates supplied. P.A. system can be supplied if needed for music. Name change kit included.

Travel costs apply if I am required to travel outside the greater Launceston area.

What you need

All legal documents must be completed no less than one month prior to the wedding date. This specifically refers to the Notice of Intended Marriage form. (click link to download directly from web site)

At the first interview, you will be required to produce original birth certificates, driver’s licences for photo ID, Australian or overseas passports if not an Australian citizen, and Notification of Divorce if you have been previously married.

I have an extensive range of books and samples of vows, readings, and sub-ceremonies for you to look at and I can also assist in helping you to write your own ceremony if requested.

Included in the cost of the wedding package is a Name Change Kit to assist you in accessing your official Marriage Certificate and all the paperwork needed to change your personal details at banks, electoral roll, health insurance funds and so on.

Differing styles of weddings can be accommodated and all efforts will be made to thoroughly research material required for your individual ceremony. I strive to ensure that I conduct relaxed, family orientated ceremonies and believe strongly that everyone attending the ceremony is an integral part of the wedding.
